NIPPON SHOKUBAI CO., LTD. Tokyo Office Renovation Project.
This project, with the goal of fostering connections within and outside the company, involved planning office areas, internal meeting rooms, and executive areas on the 8th and 7th floors. Additionally, on the 5th floor, a new initiative was introduced to design a collaborative space for engaging with external business partners.
We established three design concepts: Energy, Synergy, and Hospitality, and designed the spatial concepts for each area as follows:
Office and Meeting Room Area = Energy + Synergy
VIP and Executive Area = Energy + Hospitality
Collaborative Area = Synergy + Hospitality
For the 5th floor designated as the collaborative area, we created a zoning layout with scattered meeting rooms, removed the existing ceiling to install a skeleton ceiling, and elevated the floor into a stage-like structure, providing a diverse range of spaces suitable for internal interactions and use as workspaces. By incorporating wood paneling and greenery into the mortar-style flooring and skeletal ceiling, we aimed to achieve a space that reflects the essence of a chemical manufacturer’s laboratory environment and offers a welcoming atmosphere for our clients.
